Is Rope Access Safe? - Safety Systems

Spectrum’s Rope Access Team

Spectrum are specialists in industrial abseiling services, otherwise known as ‘rope access’. For 25 years, advanced industrial rope access has proved to be one of the biggest challenges for businesses trying to carry out difficult jobs in hard-to-reach places. Yet, it  is used for a large proportion of the building maintenance enquiries.

All our rope access technicians have completed thorough training and are IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certified for complete peace of mind.

Is Rope Access Safe?

Industrial Rope Access methods have a proven track record as intrinsically safe, cost-effective and flexible alternatives to powered access systems or scaffolding. At Spectrum we maintain our commitment to safety by ensuring:

- All our operatives are fully trained to IRATA standards every 3 years and hold IPAF and CSCS cards, High or Medium Risk Confined Space certification and UKAS/UKATA Asbestos qualifications.

- All our site supervisors hold IRATA Level 3, First Aid and SSSTS certification, as a minimum requirement.

Safety is paramount when working at height.

Why choose rope access for your next maintenance project?

Rope Access has many benefits, including being less disruptive and more cost effective. This results in minimal disruption to the operation of the building, the building’s occupants, and the public. Proven statistically to be the safest method of access, rope access achieves fewer reported incidents or accidents than any other form of construction activity.

Spectrum Specialist Support have a history associated with a rope access and are very proud of the projects that have been completed. Our rope access technicians have a wealth of experience and knowledge. It is an industry in which we are proud to be acknowledged experts and are passionate about the work we do. This is visible throughout all our projects, from planning to completion.
