We have compiled a list of things you should consider when you are having your building cleaned.
What is your vision?
What elements of your building are we focusing on, and what does the end result look like for you!
How will your environment affect the planned works?
The approach to cleaning a tower block in Blackfriars vs a residential building in Sydenham very different. How will the safety of building users be managed and what disruptions are there likely to be? Do you have access to a water supply or would you contractor need to bring one to site? How will they access the building, do you need a portable anchor system or do you have a fixed anchor system?
Ask for a sample!
Most reputable building cleaning companies will provide you with a free sample. That way you will be able to understand what you are going to get for your investment and importantly set a benchmark for the quality of the rest of the work.
All at once or phased?
On larger sites it may be sensible to clean in phases rather than the whole area. This allows you to measure and monitor the process ensuring that you are obtaining the results you require and that you are prioritising your budget in the key areas. Who will do the work? What are the credentials of the building cleaning company, can they demonstrate a proven track record in cleaning similar buildings. Do they have the correct equipment? Do they have the necessary certifications?
This is by no means a comprehensive list of questions you should ask, but a few helpful tips to keep you in control!
