Being able to locate the leak enabled the team to address the issue and carry out remedial repairs on the same day.
A leaking roof is a severe matter and should be tended to as soon as the problem is recognised.
However, before you learn what to do when you discover a leak in your roof, how do you even know that your roof is leaking?
Here are some potential signs to look out for:
- Water stains.
- Loose or damaged flashing.
- Mould on your interior or exterior walls.
Does any of the above sound familiar?
If so, then you’ve landed in the right place.
In this project, an existing client reached out to our trusted team with an emergency water leak repair request, and without hesitation, we reacted urgently and accordingly.
The various leaks were present at roof level and were acted upon immediately to prevent a leak from being experienced internally.
This emergency roof leak repair required expert experience in roofing training, an eye for detail as well as IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification.
We utilised a roof-level temporary safety system to provide a safe working environment for fall arrest and work positioning, and this was set in place by our IRATA-trained technicians before the works took place.
We located the leak by water testing along with the process of elimination. With our experience and knowledge of having worked on many previous leak repair projects, we followed the usual behaviours of water and took into consideration of the weather and site-specific conditions, which enabled an efficient allocation of the cause and root of the unwanted leak.
This project positively highlighted our rapid reaction, sense of urgency and industry knowledge. We effectively located the leak and carried out remedial repairs on the same day as the site visit, providing a successful and time-efficient service for our client.
Our rope access solutions meant that no scaffolding or expensive machinery was required to complete these roof-level repairs, therefore giving the client a cost-saving repair and allowing them to stay on budget.
We are renowned for our creative access solutions as well as our high standard specialist knowledge, which made us perfectly lined up for success.
As an existing client reached out to us with this emergency repair request; we recognise this as a great sign of trust and reliability in our services and of our team here at Spectrum.
