Safety is paramount when working at height. Which is why eyebolt installation and testing is such an important part of protecting operatives. Eyebolts can be installed in a range of surfaces to provide safe anchorage, but they must be positioned in accordance with guidelines and regulations. They must also be inspected on an annual basis to ensure they are in safe working order for future work.
The revised Health and Safety Executive Regulations from 2005 specify that anybody that works at height must have the appropriate eyebolts or safety equipment. This is put in place to ensure fall protection.
Here at Spectrum, we are an authority on specialist rope access and working at height. We are also very happy to be able to extend our knowledge of safety in this area to our clients around the UK.

There are a number of very good reasons why you should choose Spectrum to carry out your eyebolt inspections. These include:
Our Safety Record
At Spectrum, at all times we ensure that we are working to British Standards. When testing eyebolts, several factors have to be taken into consideration. First is the structure of the building. Second, the correct position of the eyebolt. You then have to take into consideration the potential fall distance for the user, as well as factors like other obstacles. These factors are all determined by the BS 7883:2005 Code of Practice. This governs the design, selection, installation, use and maintenance of anchor devices conforming to BS EN795.
We are Experts
All of our engineers are experts in their field. In addition, they are all fully trained in eyebolt testing, installation and the use of fall-arrest systems. We can also provide fully bespoke solutions for any safety or access issue you might have. These could range from a simple fixed ladder to a complete fall-arrest system for operatives.
